Connecticut is a shoreline state, which means some of our farmers are farmers of the sea! And just like finding ways to sustainably farm the land, our fisherman are always searching for ways to maintain their harvests by sustainably focusing on better methods to preserve and limit overuse of their fishing areas.

Join us on June 10th at Rosedale Farms & Vineyards as Chef Hunter Morton Culinary Director for the Max Hospitality, translates the fisherman's harvest into a feast inspired by the tastes of the ocean. Chef Morton, who has cooked from coast to coast, will draw inspiration from both the local CT shore and beyond. Enjoy a multitude of small plates as we pay homage to the fresh fruits of the sea.

Dads, it’s your day to kick back, relax, and let us bring the feast to you and your family! Bring the whole family out to Rosedale Farms and enjoy a Lobster Surf & Turf Father's Day Feast! Features Max's famous baked stuffed lobster, grilled steak, clam chowder, farmers market salad, sides, hamburgers, and hot dogs for the kids.

Spend the afternoon on the farm and enjoy live music all day. Local beer, Rosedale wine, and specialty cocktails will be available (alcohol not included in the price). The raw bar will also be offered for an additional cost.

Max Olé: Tacos & Tequila

Chef Morton, who has cooked from coast to coast, will draw inspiration from both the garden and beyond. Enjoy a multitude of small plates as well as cocktail pairings with tequila and mezcal. Plus a rotation selection of live music.

Join us for this fantastic July evening and get some corn at the height of the season. Corn is a hallmark of Rosedale Farms & Vineyards and with Chef Hunter Morton Culinary Director for Max Hospitality, this translates the summer’s most beloved harvest into a feast inspired by the season. Chef Morton, who has cooked from coast to coast, will draw inspiration from both the cornfield and beyond. Enjoy a multitude of small plates as we pay homage to the golden goddess of the season. Oysterfest

Sunday, August 3, at Rosedale Farms and Vineyards, Max Catering will host a traditional Oyster Festival featuring Chefs Hunter Morton and Steve Michalewicz of Max Catering and Events, the Connecticut Restaurant Association's 2016 winner for Best Caterer, as well as the teams from Max's Oyster Bar and Max Fish. Enjoy live music (TBD), and slurp some oysters.

The cost includes a raw bar featuring multiple varieties of oysters (see example list below), Cherrystone and Littleneck Clams, plus a variety of oyster specialties including grilled oysters, oyster stew, Savoy’s clam pizza and other specialties by Chef's Hunter Morton and the Max Catering Team.

The cost for kids includes hamburgers or Hot Dog, French Fries, Cookies, and Lemonade.

Cash bar (or credit card) will be available for sale and includes offerings of local craft beers, spirits, specialty cocktails, and Rosedale Wines.

Ode to Tomatoes

Neruda's "Ode to Tomatoes" says it best. What can be better than vine-ripe tomatoes fresh from the farm? Only this: Savoy Pizzeria and Max a Mia come together and join forces to celebrate the height of Tomato Season. For this event, we'll enjoy a tasting menu that revels in all things tomato. Our mobile pizza oven, the Savoy Road Show, will be on the farm, as we wax poetic about the perfect summer food: The Tomato. Live music (TBA).
